THE WHY?
Club Issue is about belonging. It is inspired by the energy of club season, when players are ready to compete and proud to wear the gear that represents who they are and what they are part of. Many come from different schools, different cities, and different walks of life, but the game brings them together. That is what makes club season special — basketball creates connection across backgrounds and gives athletes a shared identity.
For hoopers, merch is more than clothing — it is identity, culture, and a way to carry the game with you wherever you go. It reflects the bond built through competition, commitment, and community, and it reminds players that even when they come from different places, they can still be part of something shared.

Because in the middle of the grind, the game, and the pressure, the Smile is a reminder to find joy in the journey. It is subtle but powerful — a symbol of balance, gratitude, and the love that keeps us hooping. It reminds us that even while chasing growth, there should still be room for joy, connection, and the simple reason we fell in love with the game.
"The “X” means defense, the “O” represents offense, and the U-shaped symbolizes a screen. Together, they reflect the language of the game, the strategy, teamwork, and communication that bring basketball to life."

We started with a hoodie, t-shirt, and sweats — the everyday essentials of the basketball lifestyle. These pieces move with you on and off the court, built for comfort, expression, and connection to the culture. Forest green evokes nature, growth, and resilience — all traits of a player and person on a journey. White brings balance, light, and simplicity to any design.
"Green is part of the main palette because it reflects where I come from — many of the schools that helped shape me were rooted in blue and yellow, and together those colors make green."

Placing the hoop at the center symbolizes our shared focus: the game that connects us all. Hoopful Union wrap symbolizes the squad — no start, no end, just constant flow. The spaces between the words allow for room to grow.
"I wanted a circular logo because the circle reflects the huddle — the way players and coaches come together to communicate, connect, and move as one at the start of practice, during a game, or at the end of a season."
