We reviewed the schedule and game plan for the big game this week and upcoming Cagers tryouts, with a goal of watching film to stay prepared. Siena warmed up with Around the World reps, adding ball fakes and a variety of throws, and the next step is building more creativity and options in her finishing/throwing arsenal. Defensively, we connected her slide work directly into transition offense—spotting up and making the 45 cut—while emphasizing transition communication: clear direction, eye contact, and setting teammates up for success while ensuring the school squad is organized and in position. The biggest intangible win was Siena starting to keep her eyes up before she shoots, and her near-term goal is to maintain that habit on roughly 70–80% of her shots and dribble actions.

Siena’s workout emphasized one-dribble pull-ups with a strong pound dribble and her off-hand present for protection, while staying eyes-up to scan and read. Her free throws showed a big jump, and we also paired Pistol Pete ball-handling with Around the World to build speed and control without dropping her vision. An important intangible win is that she’s starting to keep her eyes up before she shoots, with a near-term goal of doing that on 70–80% of her shots and dribble actions. Outside the gym, we met with OG as a team to talk goals and gain perspective. Next steps: defensively, we’ll focus on consistent footwork with active, smart hands; offensively, we’ll prioritize transition offense, cutting, and playing faster with purpose.
