Mila has done a great job expressing her love for the game. I do not think I have ever had a player make more suggestions in different situations, and that says a lot about how much she is thinking about basketball. She may be a coach one day. That ability to think, speak up, and share ideas is a phenomenal gift.
An important next step for Mila is continuing to work on timing and learning when to offer suggestions within the context of what we are doing as a team. If she can pair her natural curiosity and confidence with strong timing, that gift will become even more impactful. Her courage in pressure moments is impressive and shows a level of confidence that is ahead of her years.
This is where her curiosity can really pay off. She should continue asking questions about her shot, what she can do to get by defenders, and how she can keep improving in game situations. Her ability to handle the ball, finish, and make effective reads is going to be very valuable for us moving forward. Mila brings a lot of passion and basketball instinct, and with continued growth in those skill areas, she can have a big impact on our team.
