Evaluation

Jaichen has solid skill, and his communication and willingness to ask questions have improved as the season has gone on. His next step is getting his ball handling and passing up to the level of his shooting so he can do more on the court, while continuing to learn both the offense and defense and understand why we are doing certain things. With his lateral quickness, he also has the tools to become a very good defender if he stays focused and keeps building his game.

Implementation

For implementation, Jaichen should spend 10–15 minutes a day on ball handling and passing so those skills become more comfortable and dependable. He should watch 10–15 minutes of basketball 2–3 times a week, focusing on spacing, defensive positioning, and why players make certain decisions. In practice, his goal should be to communicate more, compete defensively, and use the rest of the season to build habits he can carry into the next level.
